FairMoney Loan Harassment; What You Should Do

One of the worst complaints that users give about most loan apps in Nigeria today is the harassment some of them give to their customers when they do not pay their loan on time. This has been a serious issue which even the Nigeria Government has taken interest in, where they have on several occasions banned some loan apps because of the harassment they give customers.

We cannot say if Fairmoney is one of those loan apps that harass their customers, but in case there’s any way you have faced or are currently facing harassment from Fairmoney, we are going to guide you in this article on what you should do.

What is Loan Harassment?

Loan harassment is when a loan platform starts calling their customers or the contacts of their customers, threatening them about a loan which their customers took and has not been paid off. In some cases, they may even go as far as sending messages to the contacts of the customers, telling them that the borrower is a criminal and is holding their money.

Though anybody that takes a loan is expected to pay back, the approach some of these loan platforms follow is a total harassment and a bridge in people’s privacy.

However, no loan platform will harass you if you actually pay your loan on or before the agreed due date. This is why we always advise that before taking a loan, you should be sure that there is a means of paying back on or before the due date. But on some occasions, things may go sour and one may not meet up with paying up the loan as expected.
